These are the strips that appeared on Universal Press' Comics Sherpa from August 2004 through January 2005, during "the Krew's" first major run as a new talent. There are some major gaps in the story arcs where, when CCAD pressed me for deadlines, I was unable to finish the final boards for uploading.

"Enter Alex" - 8/17/2004

Alex originally bore a much more striking resemblance to the friend in high school I'd based him off of. But with the increased portliness of Mel and the inclusion of Tom the Waiter, the strip was a little too heavy (pun intended) on bigger guys. Plus it was a poor fit with the character's manic personality. So Alex went back to the drawing board.

Influenced by Dale Keown's Smart Hulk in "the Incredible Hulk" comic book series, and a picture of that same character attempting, poorly, to fit into Bruce Banner's old lab coat and specs while wearing flesh-colored make-up as a disguise, Alex become what he is now. As a "V"-chested, hunching figure, he looks far more capable of doing the kind of damage he's famous for, possibly even with his own bare hands...
